Participants in Lee Valley Walking events have found that walking ‘as
Gaeilge’ or using the Irish language is an excellent way of improving
their command of the spoken language in a relaxed atmosphere outside
of the classroom.
All walks are Irish friendly and all it takes is two people with an
interest in improving their ‘cúpla focal’ (or ‘few
words of Irish’) to start up a conversation in the language. Bilingual
events can also be arranged in english and ‘as Gaeilge’.
